Hi! I’m Jasmin!

I am a Machine Learning Engineer and Data Scientist based in Germany. I currently work at DB Systel GmbH, where I build Generative AI applications and AI-powered solutions. My work focuses on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), LLM-based systems, AI evaluation and cloud-based AI applications.

Previously, I conducted research at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in cooperation with Technische Universität Darmstadt. My thesis focused on the evaluation of generative models and machine learning systems.

I am especially interested in Generative AI, LLM Applications, Machine Learning Engineering, AI Evaluation, and Security and Privacy in Machine Learning.

Outside of work, I love learning languages. I am fluent in German (Hallo!), English (Hi!) and Spanish (Hola!), speak a bit of Dutch and Turkish (Hoi ve Selam!), and I am actively learning Mandarin (你好!). I also enjoy playing Dungeons & Dragons as a Dungeon Master or explorer, Asian tea culture, mushrooms in the forest, LARPS, gardening, and painting on canvas from time to time. My favorite music includes Alternative Metal, Atmospheric Black Metal, Psytrance, Organic House and Movie/Video Game Music.

I spent ten months in Asia during my research stay and travels, visiting places such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macao, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philipines, Indonesia, Vietnam and China. You can find some of my adventures here.
